My Background

I am Savita Gupta, a Counseling Psychologist (MA Counseling Psychology)with an MBA(HRM & HRD),B.Ed and BSc degree from Armed Forces Medical College, Pune. I have a proven track record in counseling students with various emotional, behavioral and academic issues in various Army Public Schools throughout the country for several years. My vast experience in dealing with students has given me the ability to help adolescents see things from a different perspective. I started working with Army Public School, Mhow in July 2011 and since then I have worked hard to mold myself into an empathetic counselor with excellent active listening skills and a great sense of understanding, patience, and professionalism. With my passion for counseling and experience, I have been able to help students from Senior Secondary School  to Primary School. I have taken hundreds of individual sessions for more than Nine hundred students in various schools as a school counselor and a Freelancer ,out of which seventy three percent students have already received desired outcomes and are leading productive lives, independently, whereas others are ongoing cases.

I have a unique ability to connect with my clients which is evident in the way I listen and understand their problems. I empathize with them, and this helps in gaining their trust and confidence.
I have been immensely active in parent - counseling and have helped several sets of parents of the adolescent students of various schools in resolving issues related to academics, emotional disturbances and adjustment problems with parents and grandparents back at home. I have been proactive in group- counseling as well and have successfully counseled groups of students struggling with the same kind of  situations pertaining to academics and peer group dynamics. I have also been  involved in family - counseling and at several occasions, have brought families of conflicting students to the common grounds of mutual understanding, acceptance and cooperation in the school set ups. My work has been contributory in carrying out a number of sessions of career- counseling related to the Indian Armed Forces in order to motivate more than a hundred students of the board classes of various schools to join the Armed Forces. I have been passionately involved in increasing awareness of the students on subjects like gender sensitization, cyber hygiene, mental health, etc.
I have been remarkable in helping students with reading difficulty on my own motivation. I have also lent support to girl students preparing for the interview at Sainik School, Bangalore.

I have also been enthusiastically involved in activities related to Army Wives Welfare Association and was given the AWWA excellence Award in the year 2017 and was nominated again for the same in the year 2023. I have been instrumental in conducting couple- counseling sessions for  couples struggling with marital discord to resolve  their issues and improve their relationships.
I have also been rigorously active in conducting individual counseling sessions for the adult clients and have successfully brought relief to them from emotional, behavioral, health and familial issues.
 

I am dedicated to my work, and my main focus is on the well-being of my clients and their families. My incredible counseling skills have helped me address a wide range of issues faced by the school students, adult clients, married couples and families. Overall, I have established myself as an outstanding counselor with an unfailing commitment to my clients.
