According to WHO(2022), good mental health enables individuals to connect, function, cope and thrive in a better fashion. Mental health comprises of our emotional, psychological and social well- being. It affects how we feel, think and act. It leads to how a person handles stress, relates to others and makes healthy choices. Mental health is extremely important at every stage of life. Traumatic events or ongoing stress such as low academic performance, relationship breakdown, domestic violence or work problems can impact mental health. Counselling services help to restore mental health.
